When hitting "delete" on level 4 in nautilus, it wants to delete file instead of key

Description
I'm not sure what is wrong here, but when I'm trying to rename a file or folder in nautilus, I can use "backspace" and "backspace on level 4" without problems to delete single letters from the name.
Also, I can use the normal "del" button to delete letters to the right of the cursor, as usual. But when I try to do the same with the level 4 delete (on the "C" key), then nautilus asks to delete the whole file instead of deleting the single letter in the name of the file.
As this does not happen with the "normal" delete key, only with the neo-layer-4-delete key, I think it is a neo bug and not a nautilus bug.
Can anyone confirm this?
(Specs: Arch Linux, 64-bit, using the "de" keymap)

I can confirm this under Ubuntu 9.04.
